Jammin' Kids was founded in 1995. The Breese family is the third owner. They purchased the business in 2009 after being customers for 7 years.

The first owner focused on making Jammin' Kids academically oriented & organized. She offered seasonal calendars and featured early childhood music programs . The second owner continued to offer music lessons for beginners but also added more technology to the business in terms of appointment scheduling, the first web site, and a YouTube channel. He made site improvements, expanded the retail area and added a band instrument rental program. The Breese family is hoping to combine the best features of the 2 prior owners with enhanced technology and retail features, as well as a more organized academy. They will continue to offer music lessons for beginners including guitar classes and vocal lessons, etc.

Music Lessons for Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced Students

Music Lessons for beginners is only the start of the many musical opportunties available to Jammin Kids students. New offerings with the current owners include summer camp, a Facebook page and a monthly e-newsletter. A new auto payment program also gives customers more options and allows administration to spend more time on customer service rather than payment collection. The new owners also want to have Jammin Kids be more involved with the community. By adding "international" to the name of the business, the new owners want to send a signal that all customers are welcome without regard to country of origin or languages spoken. We also celebrate the diversity of our instructors, the variety of their countries of origin and the various languages they speak. Vocal lessons can be taught in a variety of spoken languages but music is the universal language.!

Guitar Classes, Vocal Lessons and Much More!

When the owners where children themselves, they took music lessons in their teacher's homes. After a time, it became boring and they never continued. They were so happy to discover a special place like Jammin Kids for their own children who took piano lessons, drum classes, voice lessons and Garage Band. One of the new owners even took up guitar lessons himself again! .

As parents and former customers, the Breese's strive to make JK a family-friendly harassment-free zone not only for their children but all students. The new owners bring a wealth of experience to Jammin Kids. The President & CEO has a background in public administration and non-profit management, with a focus on membership organizations and communications. The Treasurer & CFO has over 20 years experience in international business consulting, with a focus on financial operations. They have been Weston residents since 1999 and have been involved in the community with a variety of their children's schools, sports organizations, cultural associations, place of worship and business groups.

Jammin' Kids is now a member of the Weston Area Chamber of Commerce, the Weston Council of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce, the Broward Women's Chamber of Commerce, the Association of Professional Businesswomen - Weston Chapter, NAMM the national association of music merchandisers, etc. Our instructors maintain memberships in such organizations as the Piano Guild, Suzuki Association of the Americas, Suzuki Association of South Florida, International Society of Bassists, etc. Jammin Kids has also supported Kids In Distress, the Weston Philharmonic, the Weston Rotary, as well as many other area organizations, schools and places of worship.
